Our History
Infinite Stage was founded in 2005 by Artistic Director Leslie Felbain, dramaturg Susan Haedicke, and a core company of actors, all graduates of the American Conservatory Theater MFA Program in San Francisco, where Felbain was one of their teachers. The group initially convened to create and perform a single cabaret in New York City, but decided to formalize as a theater collective after receiving enthusiastic response from audiences in New York City and Washington DC. Since its inception, Infinite Stage has devoted itself to creating and performing original plays and adaptations, as well as teaching theatrical technique at colleges, universities, cultural and community centers throughout the world. Our collective of collaborating artists has grown and we continue to refine the approach we use to create our performance pieces. Our working process involves the immersion into a community or subject through the collection of personal stories, historical data and relevant current events.

Our Mission
Infinite Stage believes a committed ensemble delivers unique and powerful theater. We bridge American and European traditions by enriching our storytelling with physical precision and deep emotional insight. Our collective of actors, designers, musicians, directors, and dramaturgs collaborates to create new material and reimagine the classics. Infinite Stage crafts theater filled with rich, imaginative characters who revel in the wholeness of their humanity and the realities of their world. In addition to the creation and production of performance pieces we are committed to community engagement and service. We become a part of the community from which we gather our stories and offer workshops, provide opportunities for artistic exchange and facilitate community forums.
